Emilio is the RESPECT Coordinator at The Pride Center in Wilton Manors, Florida. In this role, he is working with the Pride Center's clients to decrease risk behavior, reduce transmission of HIV/STD through individual risk-reduction planning and to reduce barriers to successful behavioral changes. He is also a certified Effective Behavior Intervention-EBI specialist (Mpowerment, RESPECT and Cuidate). Transgender Certification Program
The International Transgender Certification Board is now developing the curriculum for the new certification training course. This will be the first of its kind. This certification will enable clinicians to be seen as experts in this field and to be part of a database that will portray them as such. Included in this program will be a module on providing services through telephone and internet. As with the standard STTI program, classes will be available by video conferencing so students may attend from anywhere in the world.
