From Dr.Clark:

Hello Everyone,

We have some great NEW Trainings coming up in the next few weeks in addition to our regular Sex Therapy Training, which will facilitate the expansion and diversification of your practice. I have personally found it extremely rewarding to work in several areas of Mental Health, including Social Investigation, Intern Supervision, and of course Teaching.

The following professional workshops will allow you to expand into two exciting areas – Family Court Services and Clinical Supervision.

For more than 15 years, I have worked as a Social Investigator for Family Court Services in Miami-Dade County and also completed independent home studies for private attorneys.  These cases are a nice break from office work, since I get to go into people’s homes to interview them and observe them with their children before making recommendations to the Court concerning parental time-sharing and decision-making.

The Divorce In Florida Seminar will give you a good overview of not only Social Investigations, but the other various components of Mental Health Services, including Mediation and Parent Coordination. You will also learn about Collaborative Divorce, which is a refreshing alternative to the litigation that becomes so destructive and costly to people.  Click here to register or go to the seminar website.

I have also submitted my Clinical Supervision Seminar to the 491 Board for approval. I previously presented this 16-hour course at an event sponsored by the Palm Beach Mental Health Counselor’s Association. It is enormously exciting to supervise interns and help them develop into competent therapists and it keeps me challenged as well. I anticipate offering this program in the beginning of June and will send out another newsletter when the date is finalized. You can also check STTI CALENDAR to see what’s coming.

I hope to see you at one or both seminars!

Until then,

Be In Light

Here is what our STTI Students have to Say:

The educational material presented during Socio-Cultural Factors in Sexual Values and Behavior (Part I) Class was extremely interesting and particularly useful.

This course not only expanded my knowledge on Sexual Socio-Cultural Factors, but also opened my mind to a whole new perspective towards sex aid products. Despite common sex items negative beliefs, I learned many benefits for the use of these products. In fact, I got a tremendous value out of this course and I totally see myself using it to help my clients in the future.

I love STTI course structure, specially the class material, supervision case study and the guest speakers… Ileana M. Calderon, Sexologist, Coach & Founder of SultryHearts.com shared great sex health information during this class. I have to say that I was impressed by the way she managed such a controversial topic with so much professionalism. STTI is absolutely exceeding all of my expectations. In fact, I am always looking forward to attend to your class every Saturday. Thank you Dr. Clark, my experience of this course overall is simply beyond words.

Sincerely,

Emilia Paris,

Future Sex Therapist currently attending to STTI and finishing Bachelor Degree in Psychology (Graduating on June 2012)
