Welcome

My name is Celine, I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (#10088) through the NC Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors, with a Master’s in Community Counseling from Appalachian State University. I am also trained in EMDR by an EMDRIA approved consultant and am a Certified Transgender Care Therapist through the International Institute of Clinical Sexology. I have been providing counseling since 2007. 
I have worked in a variety of settings with diverse populations and people of all ages (ranging from age 5 to the geriatrics). I have worked in foster care, an outpatient practice, an alternative behavioral school setting and a crisis clinic. My experience is in providing individual therapy and crisis intervention.
I work to ensure a safe environment and develop rapport with clients so that they are able to express themselves and share any feelings they may have through forming a mutual trusting relationship. Because of my diverse background, I understand the importance of being culturally sensitive and aware to clients’ needs.
I’ve worked extensively with survivors of abuse, complex trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, relationship loss, LGBTQ+ population,  chronic pain/illness, and school, home, and work life stressors. Even when our experiences are different, we have all, at one time or another, felt an array of emotions, which allows us to relate to each other better. I am honored to assist you on your journey.
