Intimacy by the Numbers

June 1 : 12pm-1pm EDT

Why can’t I find a partner? Why don’t my relationships ever work out? I know I have problems and I’ve been working on them so why isn’t my relationship improving? We hear these questions and try to find answers by playing Whack-a-Mole – we keep trying to change this and tweak that. It doesn’t work. This workshop will provide an answer to these questions. At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to explain “Intimacy by the Numbers” to their clients, describe the conflict between the limbic system and the prefrontal cortex, and implement some strategies to help clients focus less on what’s preventing intimacy and more on removing barriers. Approved for NBCC and for AASECT credit.
