Talk Title: Disrupting the Demand for Commercial Sexual Exploitation
Learn how the demand for commercial sex fuels sex trafficking. This workshop examines the behaviors of sex buyers, the dynamics of exploitation, and the role demand plays in sustaining the trafficking industry. Therapists may encounter clients who are victims, survivors, or buyers involved in the commercial sex industry. Understanding these dynamics can improve assessment, treatment planning, risk identification, and trauma-informed care.
